What Is GlassRenu Glass Restoration?
Scratched, etched, or stained glass doesn’t always have to be replaced.
Clear Choice Window Cleaning is a GlassRenu Certified Technician on Glass Restoration, and we’re the only GlassRenu service provider in western North Carolina. We restore windows, shower glass, glass doors, and storefronts for homes and businesses across the region.
GlassRenu is a professional glass restoration system that has been in use since 2006. Its purpose is to restore damaged glass instead of replacing it. Regular cleaning removes dirt and grime. Restoration is a separate service for damage that cleaning can’t fix. With GlassRenu tools and compounds, a trained technician carefully grinds away surface damage, then refines and polishes the area until the glass is clear again.

1. Assess the Damage
We start with a cleaning test. If cleaning doesn’t remove the problem, we identify what it is: a deposit, a stain, etching, a scratch, or material stuck to the glass. We also tell you honestly whether restoration makes sense or whether the glass should be replaced.LETS GET STARTED2. Test Spot and Upfront Quote
We restore a small test area so you can see the results for yourself. Restoration is quoted as its own service, and we explain clearly what it can and can’t fix.LETS GET STARTED3. Prepare the Work Area

Signs Your Glass Needs Restoration
Spots and Cloudiness That Keep Coming Back
Spots or cloudiness that come back after every professional cleaning, and shower glass that looks permanently foggy, are signs the damage is more than surface dirt. Restoration treats what cleaning can’t.
Visible Scratches
Visible scratches from cleaning tools, construction, or everyday use don’t go away with regular cleaning. A GlassRenu technician can grind and polish many of them out.
Etching and Construction Damage
Graffiti etched into storefront glass, or glass damaged during construction or a remodel, often calls for restoration. Contact us and we’ll tell you honestly whether restoration makes sense.

FAQ
What does it mean to be a GlassRenu Certified Technician on Glass Restoration?
GlassRenu offers hands-on training and certification in damage assessment, work area preparation and safety, and its grind-and-polish restoration process. As a GlassRenu Certified Technician on Glass Restoration, we’ve been trained to deliver consistent, professional results with their system.
Can every scratch or stain be removed?
No. Results depend on the type of glass and how deep the damage goes. That’s why we assess the glass and do a test spot before quoting the full job.
How is this different from your hard water stain removal service?
Our hard water stain removal service handles mineral buildup that sits on top of the glass. GlassRenu restoration repairs damage in the glass itself, such as deep etching, scratches, and graffiti.
Will restoration distort my glass?
The GlassRenu process is designed to remove damage and polish the glass back to optical clarity. Careful technique is what prevents haze and distortion, and that’s a major focus of the training.
How much does glass restoration cost?
Every job is different. Price depends on the type of damage, how much glass is involved, and access. We give you an upfront quote after we’ve assessed the glass.
